LFT training

1 st September to 5th October, 2025

As an LFT, (Local Full Timer Volunteer), you will have the opportunity to experience the accelerated personal growth, purification, satisfaction and spiritual bliss that comes from immersing yourself in selfless service and sadhana.  With a minimum commitment of one year, but ideally two or three years, you will have the chance to work under the guidance of an experienced Didi, in one of the WWD projects in Berlin sector.

The training includes social and spiritual philosophy classes such as Ananda Sutram, 16 Points, Yama and Niyama, Biopsychology, Neohumanism, PROUT, Microvita, Master Units. Asana classes, Prabhat Samgiita classes, Sanskrit, Baba stories. Lots of Kiirtan and Meditation. The training is a perfect combination of Bhakti yoga, Jinana yoga and Karma yoga.

During your training you will become prepared to go out and propagate the mission of Ananda Marga. Besides the classes on philosophy, you will learn how to teach basic meditation, give yoga asanas classes, give talks on philosophy, run smaller service projects, inspire people etc.

The most important part of the training is the immersion in spiritual practices. With the support of the other sisters in the training, you will follow a disciplined routine that will help you to go deep inside your own practices and discover new realisations within yourself.

During the training, you will awake early, practice meditation four times a day, learn and practice yoga asanas, attend classes and workshops on various topics, time for self study, plenty of opportunities for service/karma yoga. You will also together with the other sisters work on small projects to present during your training. When you have passed your final exam, you will get a uniform and an assigned posting in a field together with a Didi.

The LFT and LPT training center

Baba assigned Italy as one of the places in the world where we should hold the LFT training for sisters. Last year, our existing building was expanded on and it is now big enough for us to hold LFT training. The location is in Umbria, the green heart of Italy. Just 2 hours north of Rome. The house is surrounded by 6000 m2 of land where we grow plenty of fruit trees, nut trees and vegetables. There are 10 rooms in the house and a quiet and calm area, perfect for practicing deep meditation.
